I love these articles. I have dreamed of exploring Wales. My grandfather was born in Pembrokeshire his family were farmers for generations, but as his father wasn’t the oldest he went into the church. Your articles are really pushing my buttons in all the right places. They are brilliant thank you Tanya. ❤️❤️❤️

You don't need to figure out (of all the choices available) what might suit my interest. I am curious about what you find interesting in Wales. I recommend the festival How the Light Gets In (mainly talks) that is held in May at Hay-on-Wye and especially the Once in a Blue Moon Cafe (from Bristol) that is at the festival. You can catch the Once in a Blue Moon Cafe at Woodsie in Glastonbury or at Shambala as well.

Thanks for sharing Lynn 🙏 I could easily live in Hay-on-Wye, there are so many events I’d love to attend and host but I’d miss the ocean 🌊

Thank you for sharing such thoughtfully considered recommendations. I am heading to Rhayader in August, so this has given me a load of options to add to my list of places to explore!

I love this list :) Grew up in Swansea, now live in Sussex and always thinking about going deeper into Wales but never manage to make it far off the M4!

Love it all 💜 I live on the Welsh Borders in Herefordshire and we holidayed extensively in Wales when our children were little. I recognise a lot of these places and remember visiting a lot of castles and steam railways when the boys were going through various obsessions...

Thanks so much for your kind words Karen. Yeah we sure have plenty of castles to choose from. I’m staying in one tomorrow evening. But worried I’ll freak out being there all alone. I’ve heard through the grapevine it’s haunted - eek! 😦 I’m hoping my friend will join me 😉🤞
