You painted a very entertaining picture there Tanya, I was chuckling reading it … However, I do hope your hands are OK! I know too well what rope-burn pains and pulled shoulders feel like after your over-energetic dog takes you by surprise! Although not so much for me any more with a 13-year-old old lady 🐶
I too have been thinking a lot about 'control' lately! And I love your new-found mantra - "let go of the lead" - I'm going to remember this! When things are beyond our control it is futile to continue to try and grasp hold of it - so much wasted energy!
Yes I’ve been chuckling along to myself since I’ve calmed down. Ridiculous scenario especially after the epic day I had yesterday launching the new creative day retreat with Emma Gannon. Glad I made you smile. I’m off to select a book for the weekend. Do you have any nice plans for the wkd? What are you reading at the mo? X
Fiction-wise: I’m still obsessed with anything by Coleen Hoover! And factually: I’ve just finished Creatures Of A Day by Yalom, which I found really interesting 😊
Love this Lesson Tanya, I could also do with remembering that we can't control everything and things will work out in the end. I hope your hand has recovered and the iced coffee helped! It's funny how life can send us lessons in unusual ways like this. I learned a similarly important lesson from a flip-flop that got swept off my foot by the waves on holiday. I didn't chase after it and reflecting on it I ended up learning a lot about vulnerability. I wrote a substack post about it called "chase the flip flop", if you're interested to read. x
Awww a much needed little giggle whilst I read your reply Hannah - thank you so much. I’m going to read the full article later. I hope you’re having a lovely Friday 😎

Enjoy your coffee/G&T 😉
