I loved this and can very much relate! Like you, I much prefer going out for a good walk early, alone (would love a dog, but I can't have one at the moment), when hardly a soul is around except seagulls and the odd fisherman. The silence is conducive to a strong connection with nature that heals deeply like nothing else. It sets me up for the day and makes me grateful to be alive.
It's a very magical time of the day. I certainly felt I had a spiritual awakening earlier. Where about in the UK are you based? I love to hear about different beaches, especially dog friendly ones :)
I'm actually in Italy! I live in a small town about halfway down the Adriatic coast. The beach itself here is quite bland, strips of rocks a little way out in the sea, sand, covered in beach chalets with loads of umbrellas in the summer. It's a bit more wild further down the coast. I'm English, married to an Italian and have been living here for over 20 years. Finding that I'm pretty nostalgic for England now, need to get back once a year, miss it!
I was doing the life admin while the sun was rising. I think I need to swap these tasks around in my schedule. The good thing about the later sunrises at this time of year is that it's possible to get out there and see it without being up at 4am. I really needed a reminder to take advantage of this. Tomorrow is another sunrise. And I intend to be on the beach when it happens.

Aww wow I adore Italy. Such a beautiful country. One day I’m going to drive around the Italian coast in a classic car 🇮🇹🚗
What a beautiful way to start the week. I wish I lived near the sea xx
Sending you sunny beach vibes from South Wales. It was definitely a 'Wish You Were Here' moment Jo x
What a beautiful morning, Tanya. You’ve inspired me to stop putting off my own dog walk until later and head down to the seafront. x
YES!!! Do it! Honestly it was such a gift, to walk with the sun rising right in front of me. x
I did do it and it was glorious. Far too late for sunrise, but it was a beautiful morning anyway. Thank you for the nudge. x
I wish I could have stayed watching the sun rise but life admin was calling 🤪

Love it!!! Take some pics 😎
I will. I’ll tag you 😉
Gorgeous! It has been sooo cold but beautiful the last few days hasn’t it?
