"...challenging the norms and relishing in the unconventional. I do believe the beauty lies in the unexpected, especially when you dare to free yourself from the chains of conformity."
I love this Tanya!
My husband and I use this phrase all the time, as we have definitely zigged when others have zagged and we want to keep reminding ourselves to keep on doing so for many many years 🥰
I've can say with certainty that I've never led a conventional life. The things I have done, the choices I've made have, it seems, always gone against the norm. A great example of this was after my youngest daughter went off to university, I moved from Las Vegas, where I was born and raised, up to Seattle to finally finish my degree program. I didn't know a single soul in the whole of Washington state. It was a whole new adventure and I was beyond excited. All my friends thought I was completely nuts!
Now, seven and half years later, I've graduated, have an amazing career, experienced truly incredible things up here, and even meet a wonderful man. We're planning our wedding in the summer of 2025. Life is such a trip! But you know what? You have to take chances, be courageous and bold and always follow your own path. xx
Wow what a story. What an adventure. Sounds like you are a pro at the ZIG! A good friend of mine and best selling memoirist Clover Stroud moved to live in Washington last year. I was only speaking to her the other day. I’m hoping she will set up her Substack as she really loves to zig when others zag.

Thanks for your kind comments Lyndsay. I’m thrilled to hear you and your hubby have the zig vibe nailed. Long may it last 🤞
