I think many of us are so bad at giving ourselves permission to rest or do something for ourselves, and having a milestone birthday is just the opportunity!
I know how hard you work on sharing the gift of journaling and retreating with others that I know how much you deserve the time off π«Άπ»
Taking a month off is a really good idea. You work incredibly hard time to look after yourself and not worry about others. You have lots planned in the future it will all be there when you get backβ€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ
Definitely take that time off!! All of it. It will give you time to sink further into your creativity and super charge the business on your return. 50 is such a great excuse for doing ALL the things. I have less than a month left, but Venice for the first time, Substack (as I didnβt manage the book deadline π€£) and new job have been highlightsβ¦β¦..and if I could I totally would have taken a month (or more off)β¦β¦.
Every year I say I will take August off and like you I havenβt - this year Iβm doing it. My biz will be waiting for me and I know Iβll be better for the break. Take the time off if you can. We have our businesses for the flexibility, make the most of it. βΊοΈ
I donβt think youβll regret it if you do try to take a good chunk of time off, though I do understand how difficult that can be when you run your own business! Enjoy the βοΈ! xx

Thank you dear friend. Iβve decided to take each Monday and Friday in August off. Plus any sunshine filled days. Roll on tomorrow πππ€©
