I agree with the substack and feel a little deflated, not that there is anything wrong in celebrating successes but because there are very few places these days where you are allowed to just be and enjoy a peaceful space
I absolutely love this list, tanya. What a beautiful idea.... I hadn't consciously done this because of the extra hour but I've ruthlessly culled my wardrobe and drawers today - intentionally letting go of things tired, old, not me.
I also wrote a little poem for the first time in about 20 years!!!
Ps I'm with you on substack. I feel a bit jaded that everyone platform ends up looking the same.
I’m still jet lagged from my trip, so an extra hour in bed was most welcome this morning as i had to be up and in London to teach a breathwork class ♥️ lovely to read your post xx
Hi Tanya, thanks for this gorgeous list of ideas and prompts 🧡 Yes, definitely agree with the overload of sharing of numbers, growth and money stats! Yuk! 😆
I love the community feeling of substack. I have few subscribers which gives me the freedom to write without the worry of criticism while I find my voice.
I have noticed lately that posts are feeling more social media than substack. Too many influencer type posts encouraging us to buy the latest autumn wardrobe etc.
I agree entirely Tanya. Substack is a community not a popularity competition. I am happy that people subscribe and connect with me. That is one reason I don’t have a pay wall. While we are at it the other annoying element is the scammers fishing with direct messaging with ‘hi beautiful’ or ‘I love your writing it speaks to me’.
Thank you for these prompts! And the reminder to focus on the meaningful signals from writers like you, rather than the Substack Popular People Club noise.

I hear you. Thanks for your comment. It’s most appreciated 🙏

Thank you for your comment Lucy. Community is everything and blasts the conversations about subscriber numbers out of the water 😉

Hey ho, I still love SubStack because of my real
Subscribers 😘😘😘
I with you on all of this! 🙌🙌
What a lovely piece, encouraging an embrace of the inevitable season changes and dynamics x
I’m with you on the morning beach run. Which one’s your favourite?
