I have read a few of these morning routine books, and I try it and quite like it but they never really stick. Although funnily enough I find it easier in the winter months than summer.

You've hit the nail on the head, I am always being interrupted!

I haven’t read this book, I’m not great in the mornings so anyone or anything that tells me to get up earlier than I need to -- I usually ignore 😂 I do enjoy reading self help books though, such as Gretchen Rubin’s Better Than Before and recently finished Emma Gannon’s new book 😃

Do you think The Miracle Morning is worth a read?

Being a single mum I can resonate with your post. Fortunately in Scotland the schools have been off for the September weekend and I had a fairly relaxing morning. For a change I feel organised but only because I’ve been off work for the past few days. Although, like yourself I still woke my 15 year old up and made sure he got a shower (as I don’t want his body clock to go back to the way it was during the Summer holidays) and made him French toast and will continue to make sure he eats well today... as if I left it to him he would live off Doritos and dip and chocolate 🙄😂

Oh yum, French toast, put the kettle on I'll pop round ;)

Hal's book is an easy read and I was intrigued to read hot because one of the 6 habits involves journaling, so I was completely sold on it. What I liked most about the book was the simplicity of it. He highlights the importance of dedicating more time to personal growth, which I do believe midlife women tend not to prioritise! But times are changing!
