I admit, I am a book addict too. And the more I read, the more books I put on my list. I often sell them again, so I don‘t feel too bad to spend so much money on books. But we could do much worse than just being book junkies, right?
I hear you and I totally agree with you about the fact there could be far worse things to be addicted to. Although I need to be careful of my gin in a tin in a tub habit 😂
This month I promised myself I would NOT buy another book. --- 🤣 HOW MANY times have I said that? It just doesn't happen.... 🤣 My book pile is massive ... It's too easy to buy second hand from Amazon , I have a budget of never paying more than £5 and generally it's around £3.60. There is such a lovely comfort of knowing I'll never run out of books to read and a house isn't a home without books is it? 📚
Hey Tanya! Thanks for this post. As a fellow bookjunkie, I can relate. In fact, I wrote about this from a similar angle as I launched my Reader and Writer Series earlier in the month, pledging not to buy another new book and satisfy my reading needs with the scores of unreads already on the shelves. I then fell joyously off the wagon when a couple of preorders dropped through my letterbox. One was Raise Your SQ by Annie Ridout, and since I started reading my synchronicity has gone through the roof! I'm writing about it for my next newsletter. Also, that's Very Exciting News re Sam Baker...!
I love books! When I moved house and downsized I gave an awful lot away. I was ruthless, I moved thinking less clutter, no bookshelves and use kindle. It did not last long. I soon needed new bookshelves and I won’t be moving again, plus I have an emptish attic, so my book collection is growing yet again xx
Books are probably my biggest expense but they make me happy!

🤣 Maybe a topic for another newsletter? 😉
Ooh yes 😉

How interesting. And yes high five to Sam Baker!

Wow a whole loft full of books. That is going to be one dreamy space to escape to if you can fit a nice comfy chair and lamp in there 😊
Unfortunately I can’t get up there! I have to rely on my son to put things up there, my short chubby legs can’t manage the loft ladder 🪜 🤣🤣
The Midnight Library was so good! 👏🏼💛
It’s certainly a keeper 👌
I often consider a one-in-one-out policy, but I'm not sure it would work as well in books as it does with clothing!
Ah yes I can relate to this
