I'm glad it's not just me who struggled with Julia Cameron's morning pages lol! I love the Artist's Way but the 3 pages in the morning took ages and was just too much for me, actually began to add to my stress levels. When I read Tiny Habits I started making it my habit to just write (at least) one word in my journal in the morning and that took the pressure off and I started to enjoy it. Also the journal was focused on the books I was reading so it helped to know what I was writing about - got more out of that than the 3 pages stream of consciousness in the morning. But I know that can also be helpful at times and some people swear by it. At the moment I'm doing mostly evening writing just about my day. In the morning I'd rather do meditation and write the odd word and sometimes I write poems if I feel inspired. I guess we're all different and it's about experimenting and finding what works for us rather than following a script.
I hear you! Tiny Habits was my bible during lockdown, and it helped me learn how to habit stack my journaling with another good habit. I love a book journal to accompany my reading, problem is there are so many gorgeous journals to choose from. They also make the perfect Christmas gift for word nerds and book lovers 📚💫🎄
Here we go! She is live, I can't wait for people to listen and join our Bibliotherapy gang 💛
What a fabulous adventure this has been. I absolutely love being your cohost 🫶📚🤩
