My journey to visit my suppliers and property owners for my retreats had me yearning for adventure, but it also led me to a cherished experience - connecting with other independent midlife business women who are passionately and tirelessly pursuing their dreams.
As I mentioned here on Substack earlier in the week, I was craving a day trip out on the open road. Cardiff to Oxfordshire is less than a 2 hour drive, obviously allowing for winding country roads and stopping off at hidden gems. I also made time to visit the epic sights of The Ridgeway and mooch about the various village library boxes on the side of the country lanes.
One of the highlights of the trip was spending time with fellow midlife business women, who like me, are forging their paths in pursuit of their passions. Each of their stories resonated deeply with me and I appreciated how supportive and interested they were in my forthcoming plans for Ease Retreats. It became clear that we were all kindred spirits, as our ideas sparked about the possibilities of working together as a team over the next couple of years.
So here’s to wanderlust and highway dust, and the remarkable women who journey alongside us, making every mile a testament to the power of their passion and purpose. I do believe, together we are writing the narrative of midlife, one adventure at a time.
Oh and I loved stopping off at all the book libraries that take pride of place in old telephone boxes. Do you have a little roadside book library near where you live? I wonder how many there are in the UK, such a fabulous idea, keeping book swaps alive up and down the country.
Until the next time
Take care & stay safe xxx
I love a good solo road trip. Especially when it’s part of exciting plans. Gorgeous photos too! x
