Jolabokaflod vibes!

Dear Friend

I hope this newsletter finds you in spirits, maybe not quite the Christmas spirit just yet, but have to heard about Jolabokaflod, I know Jola-boka-what??

Stay with me, just for a few minutes and picture this…snowflakes dancing outside your window, a crackling fire, and the soft rustle of newly unwrapped book pages. Welcome to Jolabokaflod, Iceland’s enchanting Christmas book tradition that turns reading into a sacred winter ritual - and I absolutely love it!

On Christmas Eve, Icelandic families exchange books as gifts, then spend the entire evening curled up in a cosy corner, diving into their literary treasures. It’s not just a gift exchange, by the look of it, it’s an immersive experience of storytelling, getting cosy, surrounded by all your favourite comforts and connecting with your loved ones, mine being my ridgebacks. What’s not to love about this dreamy Christmas Eve event.
