Dear Friend
How are you today?
I’m still feeling high on life after my connection with my dear new friend Anne Watts. If you read my Substack yesterday Embracing Fear you’ll know all about it. Such a fascinating woman and even though she’s keen to attend a writing retreat, I really think she should be the one hosting a retreat. Her extraordinary stories, her attitude to life and her writing knowledge is off the scale amazing. If you’re interested I’ll be hosting a Q&A with Anne over on zoom one evening in May, so let me know if you’d like to be in the audience.
Meeting Anne has been so serendipitous. Have you ever experienced those moments when life seems to align perfectly, as if the universe is conspiring in your favour? That’s serendipity at work.
There is definitely something magical in the air this week. I’ve been marvelling at how serendipity has been weaving its magic into my life, orchestrating delightful surprises and unexpected encounters. It’s like stumbling upon hidden treasures in the most unexpected places.
As I sit in a busy cafe, I’m reflecting on these magical moments, I can’t help but feel a sense of wonder and gratitude. Serendipity is my all time favourite word. It reminds me that there is a certain magic in the universe, guiding me along my journey and presenting me with opportunities I never knew I needed. Whether it’s meeting a kindred spirit, stumbling upon a new passion or discovering a solution to a long standing problem, serendipity has a way of making life more enchanting.
So in celebration of the beauty of serendipity, I’ve curated some therapeutic journaling prompts, I hope they inspire you and fill your hearts with joy.
1. Reflect on a serendipitous moment from the past that still fills you with wonder. Describe the details of the encounter and how it made you feel.
2. Think about a recent unexpected blessing or stroke of luck in your life. How did it come about? What positive impact did it have on your day or overall wellbeing?
3. Reflect on the idea that serendipity often arises from being open to new experiences and possibilities. How can you cultivate a mindset of openness in your daily life?
Happy journaling!
I’ll not be on Substack this weekend, as I’ll be enjoying time with a few Substacker and Ease Retreat buddies at @eliz weekend workshop in London. Are you going? Come and say Hello!
Until the next time
Take care and stay safe xx
A few years ago, on my birthday, I decided to invest in an astrology chart reading after debating on it for some time. Then, a few months after, the astrologer reached out and wanted to work with me, remembering that I was a freelance copywriter and content creator. I worked with her for 2 years on various projects. Reading this, I was thinking about how if I hadn’t decided to do the reading, we never would have met and worked together. Truly serendipitous! 💖
Have a well deserved break over the weekend 😘 😘😘
