Back in lockdown, I clutched my journal like it was some kind of lifeline, a tether to sanity as the world spun wildly out of control. I’d write furiously, desperately even, pouring thoughts onto pages with an intensity that sometimes surprised me.

Who would have thought?

Five years on, the irony isn’t lost on me that what felt like dramatic hyperbole then has become my unshakeable truth… my life actually does depend on my journal.
