Dear Friend
How are you today?
I’m feeling high on life, because the sun is beaming down on my face.
Ah the arrival of sunshine, after what feels like a long winter is like a gift from the heavens. As I sit here sipping my coffee in the morning sun, I feel a tangible sense of renewal in the air, almost like a promise that life is beginning to bloom once again.
There’s something truly magical about stepping outside in the early morning sunshine, feeling the warmth of the sun’s rays on my skin. I was the only dog walker at my local beach earlier, it was blissful, so much so, I skipped along the sand, creating the first footsteps of the day.
“Keep your face always toward the sunshine - and shadows will fall behind you”
Today feels as though nature itself is inviting me to embrace the day with open arms, to bask in the light and energy that surrounds me. And beyond the simple pleasure of sunshine on my face, I feel there are profound benefits to my wellbeing that I’ve been craving for so long.
What about you?
Have you soaked up your well deserved dose of Vitamin D yet?
I love the sunshine, as a dear friend said to me yesterday “Sunshine is Life”, oh my goodness, yes it is! Sunshine has a remarkable ability to uplift our spirits and rejuvenate our bodies. It boosts our mood, flooding our brains with serotonin, the “feel-good” hormone, and helps to alleviate symptoms of depression and anxiety. We all know the wellbeing benefits, and yet I sense, we’ve felt starved of its golden goodness this year.
For me, the benefits of sunshine extend beyond the physical realm. It has a way of awakening my senses, inspiring my creativity and igniting a sense of wonder and gratitude for the beauty that surrounds me. I love how in its gentle glow, I’m able to relax and in doing so find inspiration, and its a reminder of the simple joys that make my life worth living.
If you’re like me and embracing the arrival of this beautiful sunshine, let’s take a moment to reflect on its significance in our lives. Here are a few therapeutic journaling prompts I’ve curated, to help you explore the profound connection between sunshine and the essence of life…
1. Describe a memorable moment when you truly felt alive while basking in the warmth of the sun. What emotions and sensations did you experience?
2. Reflect on the symbolism of sunshine as a metaphor for growth, renewal and transformation in your own life. How has the sunshine played a role in your journey to personal development?
3. Consider the impact of sunshine on your mood and overall wellbeing. How does soaking up the sun’s rays affect your energy levels, motivation and outlook on life?
May these journaling prompts inspire you to embrace the sunshine today and celebrate the gift of life it brings. Take a few moments if you can to bask in its glow, if nothing else, it should help you can find a renewed sense of vitality. It’s certainly helped put the spring back in my step today.
Until the next time.
Take care and stay safe xx

I was out in the sun yesterday and today. The sun was beautiful but oh so nippy. Love your pictures
