Dear Friend
How are you feeling today? Sunday has come around far too quickly for me, however, I feel blessed by treating myself to another day filled with reading, journaling and rest.
I’ve returned from my last minute retreat, and on the drive home I had an epiphany, I’ve decided to write another "Visit Wales with Ease" series, and this time, I’ll be focusing on a variety of “Places The Retreat Host Goes To Retreat”. So watch this space!
Thank you for joining my weekly Sunday WORD:ship, a gentle virtually guided journaling session, so save it for when you have 10 minutes all to yourself. Even if you have a busy day planned, family visiting, kids parties to attend or your household chores are piling up, I’m here to give you permission to take 10 minutes out for your journaling practice.
This week I’d like to focus on the importance of solitude for the soul. Being the founder of a retreats company I know all to well why it’s not only important, but a necessity to take yourself away on a retreat. Our failure to give ourselves the proper time and space to reflect on the life transitions we go through, will eventually take its toll on our souls.
It’s one of the main reasons that I runaway and retreat, whether that be to the coast or deep into countryside, somewhere new, a place that will ignite my soul. A sanctuary that provides the time and space to rest, sleep, snooze, feast, cry, bathe and daydream without a care in the world.
I’ve curated a few prompts to help you appreciate how important a retreat would be just for YOU. It could be for just a few hours in your local park, a day trip, a night away or for a whole weekend. There are ways to retreat without it being costly both in time and money. So there are no excuses, put yourself first, go and retreat! In the meantime, please help yourself to these thought provoking journaling prompts…
