Dear Friend
Thanks for being inquisitive, especially if you’ve just discovered ‘with ease’.
It’s so nice to be connected.
I really appreciate you taking the time to read my Substack, because I know how many fabulous Substacks you could be reading right now.
So why choose ‘with ease’?
Eek! It’s a really good question. And I’m hoping I have the answer you’re looking for. ‘with ease’ is quite a unique Substack because I share stories about the “behind the scenes” of my writing & wellbeing retreats that I co-host with best selling authors. Sometimes I pinch myself that I get the opportunity to collaborate with the likes of Emma Gannon, Clover Stroud, Cathy Rentzenbrink and Stacey Heale just to name a few.
Most days I write about my mission - to encourage as many women as possible to channel their emotions into something more positive and creative through the practice of therapeutic journalling. I host a popular online programme called “Rage on a Page” and I really think you’d love it.
So hopefully, you’ll stick around for a while and enjoy my retreat updates, weekly musings, short essays and therapeutic journalling recommendations.
I’ll let you into a little secret, I like to change my mind, a lot! I get bored easily and sometimes I quit too soon, especially when the going gets tough. Back in 2022, I started writing on Substack, with no clue what I was doing. Initially I started sharing stories about my experience of owning two pandemic puppies, two rather BIG Rhodesian Ridgebacks. Because they ruled my world, and life was chaotic. I needed an outlet to share my dog dramas. But I lost my writing about dogs mojo.
After a little pause, I noticed that I was missing my Substack community. So I decided to write about something a little less traumatic than dogs attacking squirrels, ridiculous vet bills and blood spattered walls due to split ear injuries.
I chose to focus my writing on the topics I love the most - hosting writing & wellbeing retreats with best selling authors and creatives. As well as sharing my passion for therapeutic journalling, promoting my own journalling techniques, top tips and recommendations, and how I’m encouraging as many women as possible to “Rage on a Page”.
As newly turned 50 year young woman, I’m on a mission… to spend as much time on the beach with my dogs, appreciate the simple things, and adopt a “less is more” attitude to life.
For my free subscribers, weaved in-between my musings, there will be book, podcast and article recommendations. Plus, I’ll curate weekly journalling prompts, including therapeutic journalling advice and top tips on how to make journalling a non-negotiable wellbeing tool.
If you become a PAID subscriber, you’ll receive newsletters on Monday and Friday, where I’m aiming to write content for my new book "Journal with Ease" LIVE here on Substack. You’ll be offered first refusal to book onto my writing retreats with best selling authors and expert creatives - which sell out pretty fast! You’re also invited to join my “Journal with Ease” club - a gentle 45 minutes of guided journaling - for FREE - every Thursday at 1pm hosted on zoom.
I think that’s everything. I try my best to keep things pretty much up to date on here, but please bare with me, I’m still trying to conquer my imposter syndrome at 50 and my desire to “let go” of what’s really holding me back.
So if, like me, you’re juggling midlife mayhem, please come and join me for some friendly interaction ‘with ease’. It would be lovely to get to know you and share our stories.
When I’m not hosting writing retreats, facilitating therapeutic journaling workshops I’m usually hanging out at the beach with my Ridgebacks, with my bare feet firmly in the sand.
So thanks for stopping by.
Hopefully we’ll get to connect on here one day.
Until the next time, take care and stay safe

Hi Tanya
I’d like to do a course on therapeutic journaling and gain a diploma - can you recommend the one you have done? It’s something I’ve thought about for years and never realised there were courses on it until I read about you and your retreats on Substack.
Your retreats look absolutely amazing!
