Do you wake up excited to start your day? Do you ever feel fuelled by a deep sense of purpose and passion for what you do? Or do you find yourself feeling stuck, unsure of what truly lights you up inside? Whether you’re living your dream or still searching for it, the journey to discovering your true calling is one of the most profound and rewarding experiences in life.
For those who already love what they do, it’s a testament to the alignment of passion and purpose. But for those still seeking their path, the question remains, how do you uncover what it is you truly love? How do you identify your passion and transform it into your life’s work? Tough questions to ask yourself, I know, I spent months trying to find the right answers myself.
Until one day, I realised… the answer lies within, waiting to be unearthed through patience and self-discovery. When was the last time you gave yourself permission to explore what truly brings you joy and fulfilment? When did you last take time to reflect, to journal, to delve into the depths of your heart and soul?
In my own journey, I spent years searching for my true calling. Living through many ups and downs, experienced my fair share of personal life dramas and frequent failures. Until one morning it found me - I discovered my ‘true calling’ in the pages of my journal. Through years of journaling, reflecting and exploring my innermost thoughts and dreams, I discovered my North Star. It was a pinch myself moment, one I’ll never ever forget.
Every day since, I’m grateful for all the reasons why I started journaling. Getting to the page daily, is now a non-negotiable ritual for me. It’s within the act of journaling that I gave myself permission to dream, to explore, to envision life filled with passion and purpose. I literally tapped into my creativity and intuition, which helped me uncover the hidden truths and insights that led me closer to my true calling.
As today is a day for celebrating love across the UK, I invite you to take a moment to pause for thought, to reflect, to journal about what it is you truly love doing. What brings you joy? What lights you up inside? When you find what it is you’re passionate about, you’ll uncover your true purpose in life, and that my dear friend could be your greatest calling of all.
Here are a few prompts to work through, but only if the mood takes you…
1. Reflect on a time in your life when you felt most alive and fulfilled. What were you doing? How did it make you feel? What aspects of that experience resonated with you most?
2. Image your ideal day from start to finish, with no limitations or restrictions. What activities would you engage in? Who would you spend it with? How would you feel throughout the day?
3. Reflect on the obstacles or challenges that have held you back from pursuing your passions in the past? What fears or limiting beliefs have prevented you from fully embracing your true purpose? How can you overcome these obstacles and move forward with confidence?
Happy Valentine’s Day
Until the next time
Take care and stay safe xxx
