a seasoned memoirist whose literary works have graced The Sunday Times bestseller list threes times over, with her 4th anticipated release in May.Clover now resides in Washington DC, but manages to pop back to the UK to meet with her editors and agents. So it’s a real privilege to cohost another memoir writing day retreat with her. Her next incredible memoir “The Giant on the Skyline” will be published three days following our retreat.
I love collaborating with her, she is a powerhouse of a writer, a woman who doesn’t shy away from any of her raw emotions or feelings. Throughout the day, Clover will generously share her wealth of knowledge and insights gained from her own writing journey. Weaving in her well lived experiences, the good, the bad and the down right ugly tales of being a writer. Renowned for her ability to infuse her prose with authenticity and sincerity, Clover will guide you through the intricate process of memoir writing, offering practical advice, real-life anecdotes and immersive writing exercises designed to unleash your creativity.
From nurturing the seedling ideas of your memoir to crafting a compelling narrative structure, Clover will empower you to harness your deepest emotions and experiences and help you transform them into captivating prose. Whether you’re a novice writer or a seasoned wordsmith, this day retreat offers invaluable guidance on refining your craft, from creating a compelling book proposal to navigating the world of literary agents and publishers. The top tips she shares are invaluable.
Set against the picturesque backdrop of Over Norton, near Chipping Norton, our venue provides a relaxing retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life. You’ll be treated to a warm welcome with an ease retreats goody bag, complimented by a locally sourced menu, served around the communal kitchen table for lunch. And should you crave a breath of fresh air, the garden offers a calm space for contemplation and reflection between each workshop. Weather permitting we may decide to dine alfresco.
