“I write so I can breathe”
I’m feeling so humbled by the fact I am inspiring women of all ages to start journaling.
My mum and my mother-in-law have recently bought themselves a journal.
Both these wonderful women are in their 70’s. Both now dedicating a few minutes each day to pause for thought, and channel their emotions onto the page.
This fills me with so much joy ❤️
Maybe this is the start of a journaling movement?! I would love that. To ignite a journaling spark from one woman to another. From friend to colleague, from mother to daughter, from neighbour to nanny, from sister to sister.
I practice what I preach, every single day without fail, I make time to journal and I’ll continue to share my love for this awesome wellbeing practice well into my 70’s.
My daily journaling practice is now a non negotiable daily ritual. Like brushing my teeth, I rage on the page!
I wonder how many more women I could encourage to start journaling?

Together we can share the benefits of journaling one word and one day at a time
This is what the mamas had to say…
“I write about the small things and the big things and to reflect on what is important”
“I write about what is interesting on my work table for my next hand cradted project, what inspires me to make the items I sew, what I enjoyed most about making it, could I improve on any of the stages in the making of it! Did anything frustrate me along the way ( hell yes, most definitely)! This is where journaling can help, I can rage on the page when things go wrong along the way and I may have to stop to unpick something that doesn't look right or I can write a few congratulatory words when something I make turns out to be was a total success. I thanks my wonderful daughter Tanya for this, for her inspirational journaling ideas and tips, and for her positive attitude and determination to give a 110% into all that she inpires in others. Thank you my darling, you are my bright shining star!”
If you enjoy journaling maybe you could share your love for this wellbeing practice with your mama. A journal and fountain pen would make the perfect Mother’s Day gift.
I have a discount code for a few gorgeous journaling tools. I wrote about them the other day - The Writing Tools - you’re welcome to use the codes.
Until the next time
Take care and stay safe xx
Journaling is great as you grow old. You do look back and journaling help you to think. 💡 moment, journaling prompts for old people, like me. Fancy a collaboration Tanya with an old bird 🦉 xx
