How are you feeling today?
I’m thinking of you while I’m “hunkering down” away from the storm that is brewing wild outside.
Don’t you just love the term “hunkering down”?
For me, it means finding security in the comforts of home, especially when the winds howl and the rain lashes against the windows. It’s oh so cosy in the House on the Beach today, as I’m nestled on the sofa, surrounded by ‘hygge’ vibes, with all the retreat essentials at my fingertips.
The fire is crackling, croissants are in the oven and I’m drinking my second cup of coffee of the morning, the perfect fuel to get me though my writing - it really is a sanctuary like no other. To hunker down also means to take the time to slow down, embrace the simple pleasures and nourish the soul with quiet moments of reflection and creativity. Does this sound like heaven to you?!
As the storm rages outside, there’s a sense of peace knowing that I’m safe and sound, surrounded by my Ridgebacks, with the soothing rhythm…
