Would you join a RAGE movement?
It’s a question I’ve been pondering over for a few weeks now. And I’m curious to hear from fellow ragers! As I mentioned in yesterdays Substack, I’m inviting you to share your RAGE stories. I dare you. Go on, be brave. To get us started, I’ve written about one really inspirational rage story, it’s half way down this Substack.
This is just one of the reasons for why I’m asking you to share you story… In a world where challenges can often feel isolating and overwhelming, there is immense power in sharing our stories of resilience, empowerment and transformation.
Maybe you have a story to share, particularly about the rage you feel whether that be due to work challenges or personal struggles especially during your midlife years.
Your story of RAGE matters because it is a testament to your strength, your courage and your unwavering determination to rise above adversity. Whether you’ve faced divorce, battling cancer, or navigated the complexities of menopause, your experiences have shaped you into the resilient woman you are today. Even if you don’t feel it right now.
When was the last time someone told you how resilient you are?? People don’t really say these things out load to us. They may think it, but they rarely express it.
Here’s the thing, by sharing your story of what you’ve been through and why you’ve felt RAGE, you not only honour your own journey but you also inspire and empower other women. There are so many midlife women who are looking to find their voice, reclaim their power and improve their self-esteem. But these women need to know there are other women just like them, who are going through the same struggles and traumas that results in feelings of rage and anger.
If nothing else, your story gives others hope.
A reminder that even in our darkest moments, we have the power to transform our pain into purpose, our struggles into strength and our RAGE into RESILIENCE.
I know I keep asking you, but do you have a RAGE story to share? I bet you do.
Maybe the following story, of someone I know really well, might resonate with you. After reading this brave woman’s journey, it might give you the courage to share your story…
Meet *Sarah, a remarkable woman who faced unimaginable challenges by the time she reached her early 40’s. Twice divorced, bankrupt and homeless with a toddler, Sarah found herself at rock bottom, grappling with feelings of anger, frustration and despair. But instead of succumbing to the weight of her circumstances, Sarah made a decision that would change the trajectory of her life - she turned her rage into resilience.
Rather than allowing her past experiences to define her, Sarah chose to harness her anger and frustration as fuel for positive change. She began by acknowledging her emotions, allowing herself to feel the spectrum of her rage without judgement or shame. Through journaling, Sarah found a safe place, an outlet for her thoughts and feelings, allowing her to process her experiences and gain clarity on her path forward.
By no means what that path an easy one. It took her almost another decade to build up her self confidence, to face her fears, and to share her story, so she could go on to help many more women turn their rage into something more positive.
With a newfound sense of purpose and determination, Sarah took proactive steps to rebuild her life. She sought out resources and support networks, connecting with others who had faced similar challenges. Sarah invested time and money in herself. She realised she had to educate herself, to read and read and read all of the books that were available to her, she listened to 100’s of podcasts, she put in the work. She did HARD THINGS!
Through therapy and self-reflection, Sarah confronted her fears and insecurities, gradually gaining confidence in her ability to overcome obstacles and create a brighter future for herself. But perhaps the most powerful transformation came from within. As Sarah continued to embrace her journey of healing, in time she discovered a resilience she never knew she possessed. Instead of viewing her past failures as setbacks, Sarah saw them as opportunities for growth and transformation.
With each obstacle Sarah faced, she emerged stronger, more resilient and more determined than ever to create a life she deserved. Sarah recognised that there was always the chance of more curve balls been thrown at her. During the pandemic she lost her small media consultancy and her side hustle had to be put on hold, as ‘in real life’ events were no longer allowed during lockdown. The rage reared its ugly head yet again and understandably so. Now penniless, with no purpose in life, Sarah was on the verge of a breakdown. Journaling saved her sanity. From within the pages her story began to unfold. Almost like holding up a mirror, Sarah was not ready to go down in flames. With sheer grit and stubbornness she dusted herself off and booked onto more courses, studied and started to rebuild her life, her business and her self worth.
Today, Sarah’s story serves as a testament to the power of resilience in the face of adversity. By turning her RAGE into RESILIENCE, she not only reclaimed her power and agency, but she also inspired others to do the same.
I can relate to Sarah’s story, because it is *MY story.
If my story resonates with you, if you’re sat there feeling lost, frustrated, overwhelmed or isolated and the rage is bubbling, just know I’ve been there, I’ve walked your walk. I feel your pain. But I don’t want you to keep feeling all these unwanted feelings. I want you to be happy, regain your confidence, blossom and take back control of your emotions. Because it is possible. I know this is a cliche, but if I can do it, so can you.
I am definitely work in progress. I have a mentor. I keep studying. I’m on a journey of recovery. But here today, right now, I know what my purpose is. I do believe I have a duty to help other women channel their rage into resilience. Through courage, strength and unwavering determination I am proof that no matter how dire our circumstances may seem, we always have the power to rise above them and create a life with purpose, passion and possibility.
Some of us have to go through trauma, painful situations and failures to come out the other end, to understand what our true purpose in life is.
I have a mission in life, that I will never give up on.
I have a proven therapeutic solution to help women, that I will never give up.
I have a women in my network that trust me when I share my learnings, that I will never give up on.
If you’d like to join me and other likeminded women on a transformational journey, to channel your emotions into something more positive and creative, then today is your day. I am looking to work with 6 midlife women starting next month. If you really want to take back control of your thoughts, feelings and emotions I hope you’ll reach out to me. The women on my “Rage on a Page” program would happily talk to you if you would like to hear their stories, why they joined the program and what they’ve learnt and experienced.
Here are a couple of recent testimonials…
“The Rage on a Page program has brought be so much joy, comfort and support. I definitely look forward to all the sessions each week. They are gently excavating the subdued rage/emotions. The program is helping me with the connection to myself and with all the other women in the group. I’m so glad we crossed paths.”
“I am really going to miss this group when the program is over, it’s been so nice connecting with you all and feeling safe in such a comforted space, to be able to share the things I have has been so healing for me”.
I look forward to connecting with you one day soon.
Resilience is not about suppressing rage, it’s about transforming it into a force for positive change. Resilience empowers us to harness the energy of our rage and use it to create a brighter, more hopeful future.
Until the next time
Take care and stay safe xx
