Dear Friend
How are you feeling? I hope Monday is treating you well, even as I send this newsletter out a bit later than usual.
The truth is, it’s been a whirlwind of a 24 hours here at Ease HQ. I’ll admit, I totally forgot to write my Monday newsletter amidst the chaos - no excuses, just the honest reality of running a growing business as a company of one. But I’m not complaining, not one little bit.
In fact, I’m bursting with gratitude. Mainly because I was featured in The Sunday Times, as well as in The Times mid week, and the influx of inquiries about Ease Retreats has honestly been a tad overwhelming. I’ve been working around the clock, milking every opportunity, and doing my best to respond to everyone who’s reached out. And it’s a privilege I don’t take lightly.
And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. In between answering emails and booking calls, I’m also preparing for two incredible writing retreats happening this Friday and the following. The first is a one day retreat with the wonderful
, nestled in a beautiful converted barn in the Oxfordshire countryside. And the following weekend, I’ll be co-hosting a Creative Unblocking weekend retreat with the one and only . Our guests are in for such a treat - I can’t wait to see them, knowing how magical the whole experience will be for them.Through it all, I’m reminded of how incredibly fortunate I am to do what I do. To collaborate with such extraordinary women. To provide a space for writers, creatives and seekers to find their ease. It’s not lost on me that this is a privilege, not a given. And this is why I show up each day, working my socks off, because I believe so deeply in the transformative power of what I’m creating together with my collaborators.
So while it may look like I have it all together on the outside (The Sunday Times feature, the booked out retreats, the exciting new projects), the reality is that it takes constant effort, dedication and a healthy dose of chaos management. But you know what? I wouldn’t have it any other way. This is my dream, and I’m living it with as much ease as I can muster. Because at the end of the day, that’s what Ease is all about - not perfection, but presence. Not the absence of challenges, but the willingness to meet them with grace. It’s a practice, a dance, a daily recalibration. And I’m honoured to be navigating it alongside my incredible community.
So thank you, my friend, for being here. For showing up with me, even on the messiest of Mondays. Your support means the world to me, and I can’t wait to see what else is on the horizon.
Speaking of which, I do have some more positive news… I’m excited to share that I’m launching a new podcast with a fellow Substacker, and now my dear friend Toni Jones founder of the
. Our podcast is called The Bibliotherapists and will be available to download from 22nd November. I wrote about my love for bibliotherapy a few days ago here on Substack, aptly named Words Are Medicine. I’m so thrilled I get the opportunity to interview writers, authors, creatives, and podcasters, about their love of reading, sharing their favourite books, explaining why certain books have made an impact on their life, and the special books they keep returning to time and time again. As I wrap up this rather delayed newsletter, I’m reminded of the powerful truth that ‘ease’ and ‘effort’ are not mutually exclusive. In fact, it’s the dance between the two that allows us to truly thrive.
Until the next time,
Take care and stay safe xx
About me… I’m Tanya Lynch, a mother, a ridgeback owner and the founder of Ease Retreats. I love what I do, collaborating with authors and creatives, hosting retreats in beautiful venues across the UK. I’m also a podcaster, a therapeutic journaling coach and through my program Rage on a Page, I help midlife women channel their emotions into something more positive and creative in less than 60 days. Each Thursday I host an online journaling club called Journal with Ease and it’s free for paid subscribers to attend. If you have any questions about the benefits of therapeutic journaling, please reach out and connect. I’m usually on a beach walking the dogs, hosting retreats or hanging out here on Substack.
Things are getting along at a pace , enjoy and let’s hope it lasts for ever and ever.
