Ah a new month, where the promise of fresh beginnings and endless possibilities fills the air, even amidst the chill of February. I was lucky enough to be up and about with the ridgebacks to catch the sun rise over the bay this morning. Another belter of a sunrise. Did you see it?
I must say, I enjoyed January, even though it’s usually a bleak month, it generously delivered many sunny mornings, the sun rises were off the scale magnificent.
There is something truly magical about starting the morning with a breathtaking sunrise, especially when accompanied by my loyal companions. Although some days I do believe I own a pair of kangaroos not ridgebacks. They twist and turn, dancing and skipping in the sand, happy playing, just the two of them.
This morning I had a good hour to zig zag across the bay, to my surprise there wasn’t another soul about. I do wonder where all the other people go, where do the dog walkers venture off to? It was 7.45am, so not that early, so grateful to have the whole beach to myself. Not that I’m complaining. I’m one lucky girl, minding my own business, taking photographs and gathering my thoughts without bumping into strangers.
On mornings like this, I love the way the sun paints the sky with hues of pink, orange and gold. There is no better feeling than watching nature do its thing, even if my fingers felt on the verge of frost bite due to the freezing temperatures. The beach is my sacred space, where I find solace and renewal, my happy place where I could stay for hours upon hours daydreaming. Once I’ve dumped my frustrations in the ocean, I come away with an element of clarity, inspiration and a renewed sense of purpose. And then for a moment, all is well in the world.
Whilst the beach was empty, I decided to record a few instagram stories, my way to reach out to some of the women that have requested a chat. Some ladies have mentioned they are keen to join my ‘Rage on a Page’ program, but have felt nervous and a bit vulnerable in having to share their story. So next week I’ve promised, I’ll host a few IG Lives and Zoom meetings, with Julie - one of my students who is going through breast cancer and has found ‘Rage on a Page’ a real balm for her soul. We are going to co-host a few Q&A’s so all the lovely women who wish to connect, can ask any questions, get to know me and hear first hand about the wellbeing benefits of therapeutic journaling. I’m really excited and hope I can help lots of ladies channel their emotions into something more positive and creative.
I’ve got a good gut feeling that February will be kind to me. I envision less rainy days, more light filled skies and not so many frosty starts. A girl can dream can’t she?! Well I hope that your morning has started well and the sun is shining over you, wherever you are in the world today.
I’m going to sit with my cuppa, light my Jo Molone candle and use these few journaling prompts before getting through my life admin chores. Care to join me and journal for the next 10 minutes or so?

The moon looked so beautiful this morning here in South London as the sun came up!
