Ever had that moment when your meticulous planning and hyper organisation leads you to an odd sensation? The nagging feeling that despite having everything seemingly in place, something major might have slipped through the net? It’s almost like being too organised to a fault, isn’t it? Today, amidst the structured preparations and carefully laid out plans, I find myself wrestling with this curious sensation.
Tomorrow marks an eagerly anticipated writing retreat, one that I’m cohosting with the wonderful
. The excitement is palpable, and despite feeling relatively calm today there’s this peculiar sense that the checklists and schedules, something significant might have been overlooked. As someone deeply passionate about what I do, organising events like this writing retreat brings me immense joy. Yet, the curious feeling of being ‘too organised’ hints at the unseen balance between meticulous planning and leaving room for the unexpected. It’s a sensation that dances around in my mind, a gentle reminder to embracing flexibility amidst my structured plans.
So while the anticipation for tomorrow’s retreat bubbles within me, I ponder the feeling - a blend of readiness and a sense that there is something, just a little something, that I might have to grab en route last minute. Isn’t it crazy how our minds play games with us? I keep telling myself I have everything all sorted. I have checked and double checked that I have all the essentials in place. Note to self: Live and let live Tanya, just go with the flow and enjoy the journey, quite literally.
Right I best pack the car up and get on the road.
I’ll try and post some behind the scenes photos of the retreat over on my IG account @easeretreats
Until the next time
Take care & stay safe xx
I do know exactly that feeling, Tanya but I’m certain you will have thought of everything and it is going to be amazing. I am so excited this evening. It feels a bit like Christmas Eve as a kid 🧡
Have a gorgeous time! It will be something like tea spoons or post it notes or plant milk or a phone charger… just me?!
